Startups Pitch Ideas at VLSI Design Meet

The VLSI Design Conference 2023, held in Hyderabad from January 8 to January 12, 2023, focused on ‘Semiconductors Driving Disruptive Innovations in Global Digitalization’. A key highlight of the conference was the Startups Investor Connect held on January 12, where emerging startups in the VLSI and embedded sectors pitched their ideas to leading investors.

The event featured participation from notable startups such as Anew Design Automation, Lightspeed Photonics, Vasbeam, and Cyrrup. These startups showcased innovative ideas aimed at shaping the future of semiconductor design and embedded systems.

Minister of State for Electronics & IT and Skill Development & Entrepreneurship, Rajeev Chandrasekhar, had announced the Future Design Programme, committing $200 million to startups involved in designing IP, tools, or devices for next-generation applications in India. The programme was part of the broader $10 billion India Semiconductor Mission aimed at fostering a vibrant semiconductor ecosystem in India.

The conference brought together industry professionals, academia, researchers, and government organizations to discuss advancements in VLSI technology and foster collaborations that drove technological innovation and economic growth in India.

VASBEAM Recognized Again as Beneficiary of DCIS 2023

We are delighted to announce that VASBEAM has once again been recognized as a beneficiary of the Digital Communication Innovation Square (DCIS) in 2023, under the auspices of the Department of Telecommunications (DoT) and the Champion Services Sector Scheme (CSSS). This recognition comes in acknowledgment of our pioneering contributions to low Earth orbit (LEO) satellite orbits within the telecommunications sector.

VASBEAM’s LEO orbits offer a very high carrier to noise ratio to support high speed data rate satellite communications. Active electronically steered arrays (AESA) are probably the only option due to the fast satellite tracking requirements. Deliverable: Hardware and final report for Realization of 4×4: 16 element antenna arrays for Satcom Application with beamforming and beam steering functionalities.

DCIS, a pivotal component of India’s Startup India initiative, aims to foster innovation and entrepreneurship in digital communication technologies. VASBEAM’s continued participation underscores our ongoing commitment to pushing the boundaries of telecommunications equipment and digital services.

Participating in DCIS 2023 has provided us with invaluable opportunities to collaborate with leading industry stakeholders, research institutions, and startups. This initiative aligns seamlessly with our mission to drive technological advancements and bolster India’s standing in the global telecommunications arena.

Stay tuned as we continue to innovate and advance in the field of LEO orbits and beyond, further solidifying our role as a key player in India’s digital communication landscape.
