The Telecom Investor Roundtable, held on July 30, 2022, in Mumbai, focused on exploring investment opportunities within the 5G ecosystem and discussing telecom reforms in India. The event was inaugurated by Shri K Rajaraman, Secretary, Department of Telecommunications, with a valedictory address by Union Minister Shri Ashwini Vaishnaw. Key industry stakeholders, including government officials and private sector representatives, participated in discussions on 5G use cases, localization, security, and innovation in the telecom sector.

The inaugural seminar of the Naval Innovation and Indigenisation Organisation (NIIO), named ‘Swavlamban’, took place in New Delhi on 18-19 July 2022. Hon’ble Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi graced the occasion as Chief Guest, with Defence Minister Shri Rajnath Singh as Guest of Honour.
The two-day event witnessed enthusiastic participation from academia, industry, policy makers, and senior government officials, alongside naval personnel nationwide. Sessions explored themes such as innovation in niche technologies, harnessing Indian industry potential for naval armament, and the future of aviation in algorithmic warfare.
Key highlights included the release of the Indian Naval Directory of Industry Partners (INDIP) and the launch of iDEX DISC7 (SPRINT) challenges aimed at developing indigenous technologies. The seminar also facilitated outreach to the Indian Ocean Region (IOR), promoting India’s defence exports and strengthening regional partnerships.
